Crazy but True
The Cypriot resort of Varosha was abandoned in 1974 and left exactly as it was. Hotels stand with furniture inside, shops still hold decades old stock, and trees grow through the roads. A UN buffer zone also runs straight through the capital, Nicosia, the last divided capital city in Europe.
