Venezuela's Angel Falls is so tall that much of the water never reaches the bottom as water. Dropping close to a kilometer, the falls break apart into mist partway down and drift away on the wind. Venezuela is also home to Catatumbo, where lightning strikes on up to 300 nights a year.
