1914 World Map Quiz
The world on the eve of the First World War looked nothing like today’s map. Empires covered whole continents, and many of today’s countries did not exist yet. Each round asks for ten places as they were in 1914, on a map drawn with 1914’s own borders.

How it works
A prompt appears at the top of the screen. Tap the country or empire on the 1914 map. Your first tap scores 3 points and a second try scores 2; miss twice and the answer is shown on the map before the next prompt. Ten prompts, 100 seconds, so a perfect round is 30 points.
It is also one of the categories in the daily geography challenge: one shared round a day, the same for everyone, with a streak to keep.
